Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Business and event submissions: the listing details you enter, plus the owner's or organizer's name and email. Contact emails are private and used only by moderators to verify and follow up. They are never shown publicly.
• Ownership claims: your name, role, email and the proof you describe. Only moderators can read them.
• Photos and flyers: files you upload. They stay private until a moderator approves the listing.
• Community accounts: when you sign in with Google or Lovable, the sign-in service gives us your email address and an account ID. You choose a public display name. Your email is never shown.
• Forum activity: posts, comments, likes and abuse reports. Approved posts and comments are public with your display name.
• Messages to businesses: if you message a business and tick the consent box, the verified owner and moderators see your name, email and message.
• RSVPs, Passport and clubs: your RSVPs, check-in codes, check-in times, Passport opt-in and the clubs you follow. Organizers see counts only, never guest names or emails. Club follows are private.
• Listing stats: a daily count of page views and messages per business. Visitors aren't identified.
• Saved events: stored only in your own browser.
• Contact messages: your name, reply email and message, readable only by moderators.
• Moderation records: an internal log of review decisions, without private contact details.

What we don't collect

• Location: "Near Me" asks your browser for permission, uses your location on your device to sort results, and does not save it.
• The Ask 419 Social guide: answers come from a fixed list on your device. Questions are not sent anywhere or stored.
• There are no ads, no sale of personal information, and no advertising trackers.

Services that process data for us

• Lovable and Lovable Cloud: hosting, database, file storage and sign-in. Normal server logs, such as IP addresses, may be kept by the host.
• Google or Lovable sign-in: only if you choose it.
• OpenStreetMap: map images. Your browser loads them directly, so their servers see your IP address.
• Google Maps or Apple Maps: only when you tap a directions button. Their own privacy policies apply.
• AI drafting (Lovable AI Gateway): when a moderator asks for draft follow-up questions or photo descriptions, or when a signed-in organizer asks for help drafting an event, the submitted text or image is sent to an AI model. Private contacts are not included automatically, and every result is reviewed by a person.

How long we keep it

• Listings and events stay until removed by the owner's request or by moderators.
• Unused uploaded photos stay private and may be removed by moderators after 7 days.
• Forum content and accounts stay until you delete your account or a moderator removes them.
• Contact messages and moderation records are kept so we can respond and stay accountable.

Your choices and rights

• You can delete your community account and your forum posts, comments, likes, reports, RSVPs, Passport and club follows yourself on the Your account page.
• To access, correct or delete other information, such as a business submission, use the contact form.

Children

419 Social is not directed to children under 13, and community accounts are not intended for them. Some events are 18+ or 21+. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will remove it. The Connections dating beta is not available. If it ever launches, it will be limited to adults 18 and over.
